Mountain Ridge Hideaway
Mountain Ridge Hideaway is the perfect place to get away and “de-stress” for a while. Located 4000 feet above sea level off a remote road ten miles north of Boone, this property provides an awesome view of the Appalachian Mountains between the Tennessee and North Carolina borders. Local area attractions include skiing, hiking, kayaking, gem mining and mountain biking. It's a fun vacation for any age. Staying warm and cozy by the fireplace is also an option.
This rustic log cabin features a fully equipped kitchen with electric stove, refrigerator, microwave, appliances, charcoal and gas grills, kitchen utensils, wood floors, TV (Direct TV service), DVD/CD player, MP3 connection to stereo and washer/dryer. There is no telephone so you can really get away from what you left behind. Cell phone reception is generally good.
The upstairs loft master bedroom has a queen size bed & old-fashioned claw tub. There is also a private half bath off the master. The downstairs bedroom features a pull out trundle bed that sleeps two and a separate full bath. With the two single sleeper sofas in the living area, the cabin will sleep 6. All fresh clean bed linens, towels, dish soap, and trash bags are provided.
The wrap around porch with outdoor wood dining set provides a great spot to relax and enjoy the morning coffee or sip a an evening cocktail while watching amazing sunsets.
A wood burning fireplace enhances the relaxing and romantic atmosphere to those cool NC mountain nights. Propane heat is also used.
Travel Distances: Mountain Ridge Hideaway if approximately three hours west of the Raleigh Area. Travel west on I-40/I-84 through Greensboro towards Wilkesboro. Then travel north on US421 through Boone, ten miles up. Precise directions will be emailed upon rental deposit. It is easily accessible with most vehicles but four wheel drive is recommended during inclement weather conditions.
